    X-charger on 04 RXP

If I upgrade to a X-supercharger on a stock motor with only a 3" intake(Riva stage 1) will the stock inter-cooler attach to it? And will any thing have to be done to the ECU? I will either tweak my solas 14-19 impeller or replace it with a 3 blade. My motor has somehow survived 220 hours with ceramic washers!!!!! Phil

You are going to need the 42 injectors, intercooler will be fine, and I think a 15/20 Solas might be the one. Why keep the 3" intake, just go to the 4. I made 200+ with my ceramics too. ECU is fine. Other people more experienced than me might respond to this. X-charger is so cheap now, seems like a good upgrade.

If your gonna go for the X you might as well get an external IC and reap the full benefits of that charger. But the SC will all hook up to stock charge tubing. Will need a different prop for sure, 15/20 will be a start with some tweeking possibly needed. 3" intake is gonna choke it down but will work. Again, might as well get the rear air or set up your own 4" intake. Stock ECU will need no changes. Fuel wise, youll need the rising rate fuel pressure reg if you go ext IC. There has been alot of debate on what injector size to run with the RRFPR. But im running it with my stock 38's and my manifold is perfect so im leaving it alone!

My understanding is that if you just change to the 42 injectors, you don't need the rrfpr. Seems simpler.

Thats only IF he keeps his stock IC. Anything more and 42's wont cut it.

Last season i ran with stock injectors & with external intercooler, rrfpr, 3" riva intake, 14/19 (2200' above sea level) 8150 rpm. At sea level i suggest 15/20. Ran great.
