    Gel coat repair?

Is it very expensive to have gouges repaired in gel coat? I rubbed against an un protected dock and rec. a small 1" by 1/4" gouge in the front of my RXP Yes it's on top right near my registration, i was thinking of just putting a sticker over it but will it spread if not taken care of like automotive paint , i dont mean rust, but peel or spread??

Safe to cover it with a sticker..it won't spread unless the glass below the gel coat is badly damaged.

I don't think you are over reacting, I am way worse than you are. Go to this web site http://www.gelcote.com and order the correct color for the doo and find someone reputable that does "GELCOAT" repair. The color kit is about $75. The hardest part is matching the color but this website is great for that. It should not cost more than $100. Remember, find someone who knows what they are doing and can work with gelcoat. Gelcoat is a funny animal.

I have worked with fiberglass and gelcoat for over 15 years, your are ok your not going to have a problem, I would be concerned if it was bellow the waterline.
I will post the color code for you tomorrow from the SD book if you would like to fix it anyway, as Red Devil said find someone that has experience on repairs.
