    I have a 1200 at sea-level and we're sorting it out now. Starting with 115 pilot, 130 main, 2.3 N/S.

John, is that with a single or triple pipe? The 130 mains on my single pipe don't seem to be giving us enough fuel, we're going larger.

John as we discussed on the phone, for your triple piper I think you should start with Pilot 120 Main 170 - this should get you on the Rich side of things.

    Use a low pop-off (2.0 or 2.3 N/S) get the pop-off to be 20 ish

most of us are just using the same plugs (as recommended by Yamaha with the OEM spec gap) The only other alternative is to use a plug one range colder "9" instead of a "8"

John start 165 main 2 turns out might have to go to 155. 110 pilots 1 1/2 turns out which I think will be to rich probably have to go to 105 80 gram spring 2.3 needle This should be pretty close Watch your tach and you will be fine you will be able to see which way to go after your first couple of runs

I started with 165Main 120 pilot 2.0 n\s 95 spring of course the water was to rough again to get a good tach read. My low screws are turned out 1.5 and my mains 1 3\4 my pop off pressure is 30 and it sounds to rich to me it falls flat on its face when you hit it it sounds to me like its gurgaling and then clears and takes off. This is a triple pipe i will be at the lake all next week so i will be able to get some good runs in on glass water first thing in the morning wake all the other campers up.

The guys with the 1300 single pipes are using 130 mains, not sure why my 1200 wants more fuel? Maybe it's the case porting?
