Seadoo Gti Le 2004
Hi there im new to the fourms so please be gentle, i have a 2004 seadoo gti le (carby) 85hp, i was just wondering what motor woul fit straight in somthing bigger than 85 hp, like a 110 or somthing along those line. If people have any suggestions i would appreciate your help. Thank You A

That is a 717 engine. There is not a larger engine that will "fit straight in" as far as mount, pipe location.
There was a plate to adapt a 787 (110hp) to a 717's mounts but they are extremely rare.
You could soup up the 717 with a factory pipe, porting, high compression, tight squish head, water injection, prop and pump tuning, convert to dual carbs and put flame arrestors on, but what would be the point. You would put all that money into it and maybe get 55mph, maybe.
Your money and time would be better served selling the GTI and buying something faster (which would not be hard to do). Do not get me wrong, that is a good boat for a family to cruise around on and pull a tube and what have you. It is just not going to be a speed demon without significant investment.

thank you for your reply the only problem is i just bought the ski, it is getting a whole engine rebuild, but was thinking of selling it to get a bigger motor,but i may aswell just keep it, i appreciate your help.

If a 717 is maintained it will stay with your for a good while and they will put up with some stuff that 951s and 787s will not. You are also not worried about super chargers eating themselves every 50 hours or so.
Ride it, enjoy it. You have good range and storage with that boat so do some cruising.
