Is there anyone here who works on refrigerators, or knows how to trouble shoot problems with them
I've got a whirlpool gold edition side by side that is just 2 months out of warranty Funny how that always works out
Here's my problem... freezer temp is great at 0 degrees... fridge temp is at 42 degrees with the temp adjustment turned all the way up. Any help would be greatly appriciated...

Hey Bigdaddy there is a damper on the top left side of the refrigerator. The damper opens and closes with an electric motor. When humidity gets inside the damper it freezes, the motor tries to turn and strips the gears. Yours is probably stock in the closed position. When it gets stock in the open position everything close to the damper freezes. You'll probably have to get a new damper assy. Hope that helps.
If you were closer I would fix it for you man.

Yep... just as you said... it's there on the top left. I can feel cold air blowing from it... but not enough I guess
