Both aha and I rode that same ski, that same day, at that same place... the water was rough as hell. When the waves are higher than the suspension travel of the ski... you'll still "feel" the ride!

How did you like the new RXT iS? How did it do in the chop? Better or worse then the Ultra??

So the upper hull is suspended for a comfy ride until you hit a little rough water. Then you have to stand up and motocross it like any other ski and have to deal with the chop. What a waste of money.

Nah, not a waste of money. Think of it in car terms. A stiff or no suspension vs an adjustable suspension with a 6" range on some speed bumps is a no brainer. You can set the stiffness &/or range of the suspension. Have you ridden an XPL in some chop?

It is a lot of money but that's the direction the makers are going.......UP & UP!!
Might as well buy the best there is.

Thx for posting vid..................maybe they'll get some1 who can ride a little more aggressively next time..... But there was about 4 seconds of useful footage at the end of the vid.

Makes sense...on the big hits..at speed..that big hull is still gonna launch out of the water. That suspension system should save a ton of rider energy though....and the sheer weight of that ski will do a good job of taming down the big chop.

Looks like the Ultra has some serious competition....

No cmparison. You'll never get a ski to ride like a car suspension wise. Here in MA we have pot holes. When I unexpectedly happen to nail one I don't have to keep from getting tossed out.

then compare it to a mountian bike, dirtbike snowmobile or what ever. it alway a better ride with suspension. their just going after a diffrent market, not everyone what to ride a 2 seater through the ocean and some people do.
