    Question Heat Warning!!

11 hours on my new ski. No major mods. Just changed oil. 4qts replaced. go to put her in the water and heat warning goes off. Pull her out. Check hoses...fine. Pump screens...fine. Prop, grate, shaft...fine. Put her back in and warning goes off again!! Run if for a a min and it stops. Ran her all day long no problems. Bring her home to flush and heat warning goes off again. Pull the key, plug it right back in and its fine! GRRRR. Any ideas guys? Taking her in for her 10 hr service on Wed but was just curious as to what you guys think. Also, throttle is sticking slightly. After letting off she'll hover around 2,200 and slowley go down unless I tap it real quick. Than she falls right back to 1,800.

Did you change your filter too? If so, check all your connections around the intake manifold. As for the throttle issue, I'm going through the same thing.

Yep...filter too. Connections as in?? Maybe I knocked something loose while putting the filter in? Would make sense but what is near the filter thats linked to the overheat sensor??Any ideas in regard sto throttle? Im gonna pull my shop manual out tommorow and play w/ both issues. I'll keep u posted.

I replaced the idle speed control motor. Idles perfect around 1400. I would touch the throttle and it would flare up then come back down. I also re routed my throttle cable and disconnected the KSS. Seems to be OK for now. I think it had something to do with my aftermarket BOV. Check around your intake and make sure all connections are in. Also check the sensor on your exhaust. Make sure there is no damage to them. They break easy!!

There are 3 (someone please correct me if Im wrong) temp sensors. 1 on the intercooler, 1 on the exhaust and 1 on the intake manifold. Check all 3
