02 GTX no beep guages stay on ..

02 GTX wouldnt start after sitting for winter, battery was charged and we had beeps, battery wouldnt hold enough charge to start. I replaced the battery and noticed I no longer got beeps. checked the fuses and found the 5amp fuse on the mpem was blown. Replaced the fuse and still no beep. noticed the guages stayed on, no matter if the key was attached to the post or not. clicked the mode button and noticed the hour meter was increasing as well. not sure what to check next

Did you try to jump it off before replacing the battery?

Try hitting the start button five times and see if you get one long beep. This is a basic test of the MPEM (which I suspect is bad for whatever reason-5amp is its fuse).

You can also try pulling the stator plug, this should shut the MPEM down.

If you hit the start 5 times, nothing no long beep, nothing.

    Was it jumped off?

Or, when swapping the battery, did you pull the negative cable first, or the positive?

That is what did it. You may jump one ten times and be fine for 9 of them but it only takes one and poof, MPEM.

I learned this lesson the hard way a few years back.

You should be able to get one used as I think 99+ GTX MPEM will work on that boat (I think). Try ALOHR or maybe Shibby on here (there are several others, but those guys come to mind).
