    poor performance rxt

I'm running a '07 RXT with the following mods: Riva air intake, scoop grate, free flow exhaust with shorty waterbox, opas block off, pump wedge, solas 13/19r, Riva washers. I am disappointed with the performance. Only hitting 7800 rpm 64mph. Did have a 15/22r impeller fitted previously hit lower rpm same top speed. Have had much bad advice need some serious advice on set up and further modifications. Can anyone help?

What elevation is it where you ride?
    Water and air temps?

Is your wear ring in good condition?

Make sure your oil is not over filled.

are you running stock SC and IC? someone else chime in, but could the pitch be way off for stock SC/IC setup? I run a 13/19 on my stage 2 couch and am right at 8100.... just thinkin.

    Thanks for a quick reply.

I ride the English Channel, don't want to sound stupid but not sure of elevation or air temps, new stainless steel wearing fitted and oil level OK.

    Pitch is off...
Go with a 4" air intake...

    Shorty box? Pictures please...

Cheers Danny, if the wrong pitch then what do you suggest? The reason I went for 13/19r is in preparation of ROTAX ic and sc. Again, possibly poor advice. As for water box it's fitted with original insulation and looks standard but sounds awesome!

You stated Free Flow exhaust with Shorty waterbox, just wondering what was done to the box...

Pitching the prop is as simple as bending the tips, BUT, I suggest not to...

BECAUSE....if you plan to put in a Rotax IC and SC, you will have more power to turn the prop. Therefore, not having to pitch it twice will be good

I DOO suggest a bigger air intake for the upgraded SC...

Does that mean that a 13/19r will perform with the Rotax ic and sc?

As for 4inch air intake where and how? Do I buy or modify?

The shorty water box has had all baffles removed and is unobstructed and shorter in design but still fits in original insulation and securing strap.

The prop will work, you just need MORE POWER...

For the 4" setup, go here...
