Cheap - put washers above the rear of the ride plate. Play with the amount of washers until happy.

More expensive - buy the Riva rideplate, not the groovy one, put washers above the rear until happy.

You can also play with the trim.

There used to be a 10mm trim tab you could buy for the 99 gp800. Not sure if it works for the 98 gp800, but if it does it would be the last thing to try.

That was my biggest issue with both my GP800 & my GP760. They are the same hull. Howestek is absolutley correct but I wouldn't play around & get straight to the point. I'd buy the ride plate (It'll benefit you in the end) & purchase 4 washers. 2 on each side. That will solve the problem for good.

I owned my 800 for over 4 years, if there are ANY questions you may have, feel free to contact me. I even have the GP 800 manual on PDF if you want. That ski is very comfortable to work on & for it to run super strong, all you need is a nice ride plate, intake grate, RIVA nozzle & flame arrestors. You won't be dissapointed.

Hoping is the present-participle form of hope ("to wish for"). Hopping is the present-participle form of hop (like a bunny).
    Examples:

Alice was hopping on one foot, hoping that she wouldn't fall.
    Practice:

    (a) She saw him _____ along the pier.

    (b) She was _____ that he wouldn't trip.

    sorry, had to do it.
