Discovery !!! In My GPR exhaust

    I can't beleive I didn't see or catch this 4 years ago !!!!
I bought my boat (used) and knew the Cat-Con was not in there. The seller told me there was a D-plate and I even took a small glimpse with a flashlight for a split second and seen the view was straight thru with no honeycomb....

Well, My rear pipe has been off a few times over the years and this week as I am replacing my electric bilge pump for a new one (old one went bad), I decided to take a look in there and noticed that I don't have a D-plate !!!

I've been over this boat with a fine tooth comb and can't beleive I didn't see this.

I have that other one. I can't find the information on who made it, but it is the one with just a round opening.

    Who made this one

I will say, I won't be changing it as my boat runs very well. I don't know if I am leaving speed on the table, or if this has helped me......dunno......but its staying.

I'm still kicking myself for now knowing I had this in there.

I would try it with a d-plate. You might gain some rpms on top.

That's my thought as well, seems as though whomever was testing this found more with the D plate. Now I know you'll do it

Whats the I.D. on it. Your ski is running tops. It would be cool to calculate the open area and compare it to a D-plate.

I wouldn't take it out either if i where you. If someone else close by had a stinger rigged with a D-plate and jetworks flow control and you could do a quick back to back the info would be interesting.

I should be testing my 1200 again soon

Thats a good point. I would like to calculate the area of that hole vs. the D-plate.

We may have to do that !

Thanks, yes I agree.....I hate to change it up......

    From Jetworks website
The YE-155P is used to replace the catalytic converter. Instead of off setting the exit like the D plate on the non US models, the Jetworks cat removal plate has the exhaust exit centrally located to keep the velocity of the exiting exhaust gasses. This promotes better mid-range and upper-range pull.
This still has me floored......I've been all over this ski like a fine tooth comb and can't beleive I didn't catch this.

    Ellie, yes..
