My cylinders are ported and my head is milled by Group K. I have stock reeds and stock CDI. The motor has 216 hrs on it and I have not had one single problem. In 2002 after the motor was broke in, it ran 64-65. It now runs 68-69 with an occasional 70mph run. I gained speed by filling in the intake grate and ride plate bolt holes and shimming the front of the ride plate down. I have a R&D ride plate with the Group K cut, and an R&D intake grate. My impeller is a Solas J 12-18.5. My rpms are 6950-7010.

Im looking to get the most speed out of my ski without going into the motor just yet. Can you guys recommend parts for me? Its a 98 GP1200 with the 5 degree naozzle and a primer kit. The rest of the ski is bone stock.......also to me it dosent seem to porpise like some say the GP is notoriuos for.

Grate plate and impeller will help a stock ski.
    What year is it.

Go with a intake grate, ride plate and new impeller. Brandon has found many mphs in his ski after his engine work was done. Like he said, fill in the bolt holes when it is set up for your size and wieght.
