    Building up a 780SLX

I looked and could not find alot of info on what people did to mod these. I will post the progress and if anybody has tips, ideas, or something that worked for you pleas let me know.

The machine has a bad crank, threw a rod, it took out the case with it. I would like th "hop it up" some too. What I currently have: TDR muffler/can, carbon fiber reeds, and the choke has been removed.

As I said before, that ski is pretty modified from the factory. Not much to do without going big.

6 vane stainless pump stator would add 1-2 MPH

Wetwolf Adjust A Thrust will add bottom end and maybe .5 - 1 MPH on top.

High compression heads for better acceleration.

    Jetworks valve for better acceleration.

    Dry pipe exhaust

PRO 785 CDI for better acceleration

    GOING BIG!!!!

    44mm carbs

    triple pipes

    Ported cyls

What would the jetworks valve be? I belive I found a CDI, I have ported 2 strokes before so I will probably just do a clean up port job. I will be looking for a stator later on I want to get motor done first.

Jet works valve is ONLY if you have the wet pipe installed. It's worthless if you get the dry pipe.

It stops water from filling up the waterbox when you're just idling or very slowly cruising. Once you hit the throttle, the pressure opens the valve and normal operation continues.

What it does is, prevents water accumulation in the waterbox. So when you hit the throttle, the exhaust doesn't have to push out all that water. You get a quicker acceleration from a dead stop pretty much.

They can be had for around $30-45 depending on which one you get.
