    Pump Plug Kit

Has anyone filled the cavities with just 4200 instead of using the ppk kit to go a bit cheaper? Will it work just as well?? Trying to reduce cavitation the cheapest way

I do not see why not? I would fill them up first and let dry then seal the shoe, be sure to double check your inserts..

    hey Nate

if the ski is upside down maybe, but if sitting on the trailer, I`m sure it will drip/run out...
and don`t forget 5200 expands as it cures.

Andy, If he has the pump shoe out to do the ppk ,,,,then he could just fill it then let dry then seal the rest up when he sets the shoe.

    PR has lost it everyone...

honestly if i had the chance to go back and redo it i would have taken my time, and used 4200 for all of it. i actually have a tube of it in my toolbox incase i ever take the shoe off i can redo it this way.

i did it this way and most of it ended up getting sucked out by the prop after a while, then i had to buy the pump plug kit anyways
IMO go with the pug kit

The only problem with filling them with 4200 is a large mass will take forever to cure, I got some epoxy from work and filled mine let it cure sanded smooth then installed with 4200.

that is correct bill, when i took mine apart to re-do it with the pump plug kit the bigger voids were still soft in the middle, it never fully dried and what was left shrunk alittle
