I've used them for 5 years. I like it.

One adition to make them work better in choppy water...add a 5'-7' length the bungie cord at the end before it attaches to the ski. Otherwise...the weight of the ski will pull the anchor in rough water. The bungie would allow the ski to bounce without lifting the anchor and still fit in the bag for storage.

GREAT advice! I see how that will work great with the bungie, I'll have to put that on my list of things to get!

    Thanks

The anchor itself is about 9"-10" long....25' rope. I wind the rope around the anchor once it's folded....it all fits into the padded bag...I keep the float hanging out. I used to keep mine stored in the deepest well of my rear seat storage. I now keep it stored up front in a gtx front storage tray, that fits my rxt.

I've never beached my ski. I just watch the waves...check the depth...set the line and maybe move the anchor if the wind swings the ski too close to something like another ski, boat, tree or rock. Swim out to the ski...unhook...fire up the ski and take off. When I get back...my float is there marking the anchor, saving my space in a cove or whatever.

The anchor is painted cast metal....can be brittle.

    I like it.
