    Cavitating

    Hey guys,
I have had my 04 rxp out for a few ride this year. It seems like it is cavitating worse this year than previous. I think my prop and wear ring are good. Could it be my driveshaft seal? Is there a way to adjust them before it goes completely... and is there any harm in running it until it completely goes. What does it feel like when it goes completely bad.

I could be wrong, but I think your ski will sink if it is really worn? Best to replace now. Especially before the season gets busy and you are having the dealer do the replacement.

yea thats what i was thinking... but i dont have the money now and my dad doesnt understand prevenitive maintnence. His motto is kinda like if it aint destroyed im not gunna worry about it until it is, but in return he usually spends more money on whatever he broke then.

definitely check the wear ring.... Doesn't take much to ruin one of these plastic rings.... I would start there.

Just pull the pump and flip the wear ring around and use the otheer end of it. If your problem goes away then you know that was it.
