    General Weight FZR / FZS / SHO............

    Why are the Yammies inspite of Nano hull etc.. so heavy?

    Yamaha FZR 2009 ==> 366kg / 806 lbs (OK little longer hull)
    Sea Doo RXP 2009 ==> 335kg / 738 lbs

    is the reason causing by more functions and heavier engine parts?

    The Ski`s are all too heavy, they should have a max weight at 290 kg /650 lbs as the GPR was.

    Yamaha should build a real GPR follower with Nanoxcell hull and an new engine.

    If they cared two shits about what you think, this ENTIRE section wouldn't exist.

    It's all pretty relative to what we are talking about, isn't it.

    ski length.
    engine size.

    ...and it's very light compared to a comparible ski such as the ULTRA250.

    To answer your question, the FZR is longer than the RXP, has a larger engine and is built to a higher quality standard in my opinion.

    i am trying to sell my gp1300r and thinking about replacing it with a fx sho - i too am worried i will be disappointed by how heavy the new skis are... but i'd like a more versatile and powerful ski...
