    Another Watercraft Stereo Approach

I've seen several posts describing various sound system approaches on watercraft. Here's a couple pictures showing what I've done with my RXT and another Ultra 250X. Basically have an Ipod in a H2O Audio case mounted on the glovebox, so I always have full control over track and volume. I have the amp in the luggage compartment, and I've mounted waterproof speakers in a custom pod on the mirrors. I'm set up to make the pods, so PM me if interested.

With that being said, I too have an RXT and Im ready to get my speakers. I new to this site so im not sure what PM is but im sure I will learn soon.

Yup, that's Chris' Kawasaki. He seems like a real nice guy, has been willing to help a couple other guys with installs on their Kawasakis. I'm glad you were impressed with the sound. Being in a sealed speaker enclosure really enables some nice sound. I did receive your PM, so you must have found it!

Impressive. Much better alternative than cutting holes in the deck of the ski. What brand and model number are speakers?

Does anyone else have this amp? Is it a problem having the amp inside the storage area like that? I would think it would get incredibly hot and start to melt the plastic of the ski hood.

Man i thought the same thing. I figured that there is no way the closed hood would allow it to breathe. I was wrong. Not only was i wrong but the amp has not got hot at all. I crank this thing up to the max and let it play for hrs at a time and the amp stays cool. I also figured with the pounding on waves that the amp would fall and that has not happen either. It is still as snug as the first day I put it in. I run mine off of its own battery cause I didnt want it draining my main. I also ran a toggle switch. here are some pics.
