    Bogging in the Holeshot

Hello everyone, it seems that when I hit the gas on my 1300r the ski accelerates, but it seems to take a longer to level off and rip away. I have to give it half throttle or more to get it to plain and rip away. Anybody have a stab at what the problem might be? Idea's would be great? Thanks

    can try

riva pump plug kit (PPK) for cavitation
Leo's holeshot kit (helps plane ski out more quickly)

are there any mods done to the ski?

when you hit the throttle does it feel like it is reving up but not gripping, or like the clutch is slipping in a car.. revs real high but doesnt go fast?

The mods are minimal, plate, grate, air intake, freeflow, efi, stepped sponsons, thats basically it. I have the pump seal kit and yamaha reinforcement. The drive shaft is gripping, but what I think it could be now that Im thinking, last year i was riding threw shallow water, and hit a sandbar at 25mph, maybe that messed up the pump seal kit? Question, is the ppk the pump seal kit?

Yes the PPK is the pump seal kit. Do you have the stock prop? When you accelerate do you have cavitation? Depending on what got into the pump the time you hit the sandbar you might have done some damage to the prop and wear ring. What is the EFI settings?

    ripping holeshots

sounds like your cavitating, make sure you silicone all the seams around pump shoe, ride plate, grate, yes, leos a must a13/19 prop is more low end you should have ,lean over those handlebars when you" open up" like a racer putting your wt. over bow, then when you feel your on plane lean back to let the bow come up .there's other bolt- on or simple adjustments you,ll find at green hulk u.

Just noticed you have a 14/20 concord. The 14/20 can take away some of your holeshot. I would also look into getting an IR Jetworks kit.

You should have someone who knows Gpr's a lil better check over the ski... Theres lots of things it could be. Is it bogging or cavitation? Is your motor not pulling it or is your prop not pushing it? How did you seal the pump shoe? Your welcome to join us in a ride anytime and ill look it over if youd like... 14/20 may be too much with your mods...? hows the wear ring look? Youd probably be better off with a 13/19... What are your rpms?
