    Considering purchasing an Ultra 250X

I am considering purchasing a 2008 Ultra 250X. From a few reviews that I have read, It goes fast in a straight line and handles well straight but does not corner well. I know that it is a heavy ski, so it will not be nimble. I will be driving it but so will my wife and I do not want to have her fighting a machine on the turns. It will not be raced. Is what I am reading true? Are there mods to improve the handling? I really do not care if the handling mods reduce the top speed. I know, you guys think I am crazy with that last statement but I would like my wife to enjoy driving the ski also. Thanks in advance for any insight.

It turns like a barge at speed but a rec rider would have no trouble handling the ski within reason. Its more the high speed handling that people complain about. It take balls to try a fairly hard turn at full speed....balls or stupidity.

I have a Sea Doo XP and it turns on a dime, my Ultra 250 is not as quick on a turn but you CAN turn it at full speed and it goes through the SLOP like no other boat

    just learn to ride!

Get an 09, the GIO thing will piss you off 10 hour between $50.00 oil changes gets old fast

Here is a better idea.......get a 260x. Better ski all around. I love my 250x but let Kawi deal with all the left overs.
