    Amsoil

Ok, yes I have searched. Some say you cannot use Amsoil Interceptor with the cat still installed. I have yet to take mine out (52 hours), and am now almost out of injector oil. I even have the dplate sitting here on my desk. I have been trying to only do one mod at a time, and its about last on my list.

I run Interceptor in my Seadoos, so would like to run it in my 1200R as well, with the cat still installed. No?

    Thanks, REG

    hmmm

i wouldn't, after the d-plate yes but not with the cat con in there. i think the yamalube is the only safe oil to run with the cat con still in.

Of the 500 or so posts I read at Riva about it, most, even Fercho, said you can use it cat or not. But then the next old wise man says no. LOL

Yes you can use it, all Amsoil 2-stroke oils are 100% ashless, and will not hurt the cat. I asked them this question awhile back.

Thank you. All I'm really doing is putting off tearing out the pipe. LOL.

But this way I can ride for a few days first.

    Thanks

    From the corporate Amsoil website

    http://www.amsoil.com/articlespr/art...lications.aspx

"It is recommended for all two-cycle applications including outboard motors, snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs and personal watercraft. It is also compatible with and recommended for all two-cycle applications using catalytic converters."

While you are waiting for more oil to come in, install the D-plate.

I ran it in 2 boats with cats still in for over 60 hours no problems. Went d-plate later.

I too also used Amsoil before I went with a d-plate. Didn't seem to do harm at all.
