Unhook trim cables and see if they can be pulled manualy.I have replaced trim cables that were rusted up solid.Your ski is an 06',not that old. You always ride in the salt water?

Contact Jimsperformance,he is close bye you.Thats his screen name.

bought my gpr from a guy who ran in salt. when i bought it they were rusted up so bad nothing would get them free. tried wd but did nothing. i removed them first and tried to break them free, but that didnt work either so i just ended up replacing them. try to break them free first and take it from there. good luck!

Took mine apart and just cleaned everything up. Works great now. Just a pain in the a** to get those 2 little metal balls to stay in their spots.

    frozen trim

Jim took a look at it, turns out they put steel bearings in there, he replaced them with ceramic bearings, works awesome now, very smooth. Perhaps Yamaha should do that as stock.
