    Sensor and speedo failure

I was out sunday doing some high speed runs, in some rough chop nothing really crazy and the buzzer went off telling me the water temp sensor on the dash wasnt working and then the speedometer stopped as well, I had left the seat open for a week and it had rained inside the hull about 3 to 4 inches could that have had done something I did drain it before using.

Anything is possible. Why didn't you leave the drain holes on the stern open? The speedo/water temp are both part of the sensor on the right side of the transom. You might try tracing the wires to see if the connector came off... Ron
