    FZR INTAKE GRATE Mods

I was'nt sure we were going to get an intake in time for the up coming JAC, so i fabricated a top loader for the fzr intake grate myself.
    What do you think guys?

    Thanks guys,
No stuffing issues, but to tell you the truth that bike never had a stuffing issue and it ran 73mph a few months back. I lost about 1/2mph in smooth but gained in the rough.
The hook up is much better than the stock grate alone
I also found that the rear bolts can be a little longer,(about 4mm) so i installed the grate with longer bolts in the rear in order to use up every thread in the B-plate.
The pics shows how much longer and how far in the bolt can actually go before it stops.
This makes for a stronger bolt up

This is a very important factor for FZ's.. The bolts actually started to come loose after 6 hours on my ski not safe at all...All FZ owners should check there Intake grate bolts!!! They possibly didnt come with enough torque from factory or like DP said, they need to be longer..
