    Bilge Pump in RXP ?

Has anyone installed a Rule Full-Auto Bilge Pump in an RXP ?

I was planning on tapping into the VTS for power but not sure of a good place to actually mount the pump and outlet.

If anyone who has done this could post or send some pix it would be appreciated.

Here is a few pics of where I mounted mine. I mounted the pump next to the pump tunnel. I tapped into the battery for power. If my ski ever lost power for some reason, I would want the bilge to still run.

Here's a couple pictures of my set up... just to give you some ideas

I'm running twin 750GPH pumps... no need for switches or any BS like that... unless your going to use those pumps that autorun every minute or so These pumps only turn on when the float stays in the up position for several seconds. Each pump wires straight to the battery... and are fused separatly.

Yes, I saw JT's very well written and documented Groco/Rule/Kanaflex install instructions but that was for a GTX S/C. The RXP bilge floor has slightly different configuration as well as a different rear boarding handle design for the outlets. The Rule Auto-Bilge pump I have is the 'round' variety, about 4" tall, not the oval type which has a different footprint.

BigDaddy's Pump mount location looks to be about where I considered for mine but was wondering why run wires all the way up front to the battery when the VTS has 12vdc available right next to it ? Won't the VTS cable supply power when the DESS key is on the post, even if the engine is not running ?

It looks like BD's pump outlet(s) are in one of the only inconspicuous places available on an RXP. Does anyone else have pix of any other choice locations used ?

Thank you'all for the suggestions. It's good to see what others have done to get ideas before you start drilling holes...

David... I would not recommend you tap into the VTS power for several reasons. First of all... the VTS power supply is not fused for an extra 4-5 amp load, (not that the vts is always being used) I guess you could put a larger fuse in that circuit (I wouldn't). Secondly... you will have no power to the bilge when the ski is sitting in the water without the key attached. It really doesn't take much time or effort to run the wires straight to the battery, just crimp ring terminals on the wires and attach them with the battery bolts

For the water outlet, I just tapped into the pump area. There is already a fitting built in, you just drill it out. I read by Shibby somewhere it was set up for a bilge, they just don't come with one. If you are looking at the pump from the outside of the ski it is on the left side..................thought I had a pic but I don't.
