First check the battery voltage while cranking. Weak battery voltage while cranking is a frequent cause of weak or no spark.

While the engine is cranking, battery voltage must remain above 10.5 volts, measured with a multi-meter.

Check the voltage inside the electrical box on the Red/Purple while cranking. Then check the Orange wire voltage.

Both need to be above 10.5 volts while cranking.

If the battery is weak, and won't sustain 10.5 volts or better when cranking they do.

I have the exact same ski and unfortunately I needed the ignition module. Just do all the resistance checks like it says in the manual. I cannot stress the importance on 10.5 volts or higher while cranking. Do not assume that because the battery has been charged that it is good. Hook up the voltmeter.

I've seen it where the automatic trickle type battery chargers from wal mart said it was charged, yet when I put the boat/auto automatic charger on it it showed it needed more charging.

so if it needs more volts does it need a new battery then or..?

Do you have a multi-meter that you can use to check the battery voltage?

If yes, connect multi-meter to battery posts. What is the DC voltage?
If voltage is under 12.5 volts, battery is not fully charged, or is weakened internally. Charge or replace the battery.

Now crank the engine. What is the DC volts while the engine is cranking?
If voltage is under 10.5 volts while cranking, battery needs to be charged or replaced.

If you replace the battery, I suggest a sealed AGM type battery, like the Deka ETX16LM, or the Odyssey PC625
