replacing filter on riva rear air intake

i saw a thread a while back about replacing the somewhat restrictive filter that goes on the riva rear air intake. I cant find it now and was wondering if anyone has done this and what results it yielded? If i remember correctly people were using screen from a screen door?

Are you talking about replacing the flo-rite material?

Like he said replace it with some window screen. Its worth .5 to 1 PSI on my setup. Not sure if you would see those results if your running a smaller charger but on my ET charger it is a noticable difference

Just undo the 7 tiny allen head screws that hold it together..Once the screws are out then seperate the 2 pieces..The flo-rite material will come right off. Then depending on what material your gonna put back on,Cut accordingly, put material back on the bottom piece, put the top piece back on and screw in the 7 little allen screws..Thats pretty much it..Like Steve said..Most of us use SS window screen..The flo-rite material is way more restrictive than regular screen..BUT you are more prone to water ingestion.
