    Compression

    Just bought my first Yamaha, 2006 gp1300r, what should the compression be??? thanks for the help and looking forward to the advice this forum offers

    should be 115-120 with the battery fully charged and throttle wide open.... fullboogie you got anything to add?

    non-pvs (2005-2008 are 130-135 stock

    non-pvs??? i have had a 96 xp, 94 xp and 98 spi, somehting like that, nothing like this yamaha, haha. what is non-pvs?? i have exactly 125 in all 3 cylinders wiht 25 hrs on the machine, sound about right?? thats wiht throttle open, full battery and not disconnecting the power valves (since i dont no how to do that)

    he doesn't mean disconnecting them, your gpr doesn't have them. i forgot about the change.

    so should it be 115-120 or 130-135??

    from what WFO said it should be 130-135. did you do the test with the throttle pulled wide open?

    yes, throttle pulled wide open and battery fully charged, and i got 125 in all 3

    You are fine all gauges etc.. are different the key is they are all the same/similar.

    the #3 should be 5psi less
