HKS Super Mega Flow Intake SHO

I made my own intake system using HKS Super Mega Flow filter 200mm X 80mm and 3 inch intake L pipe. I spent less than $150. The most expensive part is the HKS air filter which is $100. The 3 inch intake pipe, silicone elbow couplers , and clamps can be found on ebay.

Some of the goodies finally came in.

I had to hack saw off almost 2 inches off the short end of the intake pipe.

The breather hose was remove and replace with a small breather filter. Got it from Rip's Poor Man's Breather/PCV Blockoff.

That pipe looks tiny, you need 4 inches flowing into that big azz motor.

Damn, never thought about the 4" pipe and just use the silicone elbow reducer from the supercharger inlet to the intake pipe. If someone do buy this setup, I will definitely go with the 4" pipe.

I like how you did the HKS filter set-up the your craft but be very carefull with that filter because it has a sponge element instead of a screen. The sponge sometime would break apart after a while and peices of the sponge would intrude into the S/C. I've seen it happen before so just a little heads up. Also, you dont want to be obsorbing water and have it flow through your intake...

Agreed......sponge filters come apart all the time.....and honestly, its not needed in a PWC environment unless u ride in super dusty conditions where you have dust blowing over the water your shredding on.......

Just get a screen on there....better flowing, won't come apart, and your legal/beagle with your flame arrestor....

Yeah, I was aware of the HKS filter element. I'm going to see how this filter will hold up on my SHO. If it start to break apart, I will upgrade to the Blitz SUS Power Filter made out of stainless steel.
