    1200xll starting problem

Just finished installing rebuilt engine in my 99 1200 xll limited. Charged battery. All i am getting is a low oil warning beeping. I installed a oil block off plate and am going to run premix. Do i need to fool oil senser to get engine to turn over? I bought this ski as a basket case so i am new to this model. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if having a low oil warning will keep you from turning over, but you will need to bypass it. I took the cable coming from the oil tank and simply shorted out the plug on the instrument side.

Why not just plug the oil tank outlet and pour a little bit of oil into the tank to satisfy the alarm?

Well, you could do that.... I just used a crimp connector to short it out, never have to worry about it going off again.

instead of shorting it out, i took out the oil level sensor and zipped tied the three sensors in the up position and put it back in the tank...I just dont like to short things out....

Either way, that is not preventing you from starting it. Look elsewhere. Did you plug your stator back into your electrical box?

    1200xll starting problem

I put oil in oil reservoir and it stopped beeping. Now it is saying start on digital display but does nothing else, not even a clicking sound. Everything seems to be plugged in. Wire from stator and two wire plugs from exhaust. What else could i have missed?
