Just got some new bars for the P-X

I really wanted to keep the orange bars, but I couldn't find a 12" pad or a matching pad cover, so I just decided to go with a nice set of Renthal bars.

    I think they look OK....

They are 2" longer on each side, and the throw is slightly different only due to the extra 4". If I were to cut the bars down 2" on each side, they would match the throw of the stock P-X bars perfectly.

I just left them with the extra 4"......

All in a quest to get rid of the OEM grips and use some good ol' ODIs

Looks good! I would love the X steering on my ski. Just can't justify the price.

No thanks. Would go all or nothing. Probably wouldn't be able to use them with this fat pad on here. And I'm not sure about orange bars on a green and black ski. If I got the X steering I'd go with bars like you have now.

If your lookin at installing a X series steering on a non X, take it from experiance DONT, go UMI! I did the X on a 07 and we had to cut the hell out of the opening and also we had to make a small plate to fill the hole on the left side where the cutout goes out a extra 1"

I would think UMI would sit to low on either one....... BUT i know UMI is used on a lot of RXPs ......

Like I said... It was all in a quest to use ODI grips..

they do look sweet though....You went through the same process as me to use aftermarket ODI grips..So your not the only one Now get rid of the OPAS and you'll be able to stear with One finger....*EDIT* it looks as though you've already done that

    Yep.. OPAS is gone.

I was really glad I could find some bars that weren't shiny chrome looking but more of a dull silver to match the ski....

P- I think you posted pics of your ski with the bars in my other post.. they looked good. What kind did you get??
