    rxt rear storage bin?

hey, just did a bilge pump install. noticed that the thru hull fitting with bilge hose is now in the way of bin dropping in. can i run the ski without the bin in place? wondering about water perhaps dumping in. although i can never remember any water in the bin before. thanks for your help.

i don't run a bin at all. i took mine out when i installed my XS IC so that i could lift the seat and check my clamps while on the water and never put it back in. i'm not having any problems with water. and if soem extra leak did get in i would think the bilge is going to take care of it!

You may want to see if you can tighten the seat...post...thing so that the rubber seal and rear seat seals completely.

I remember one member remarking on a loose rear seat.....making noise.

Exactly, just keep adjusting the stainless latch post down until the seat snaps down firm and does'nt move. I adjusted mine 4 times before it was right.

    Cheers

Right, but also remember that the bin has a small foam gasket under it that seals to the upper hull. At least mines does.

I have ridden with the bin in and out without adjusting the rear seat and no water gets in. This was on smooth water. --J
