And who says SHO's can't carve?!?!

And who says SHO's can't carve?!?!

Did a great ride today......high-speed chop runs with high-speed twistie-carving in Stuart. I went to flush my ski after the ride and found a little surprise.....

The front sponson bolt pulled the threads out of the backing plate and split the sponson in half......you can see where the water pressure peeled it away from the backing plate and bent the billet aluminum blade insert in the middle.......That blade is really strong so i was very surprised to see it broken. gives u an idea of the forces placed on these sponsons during high-speed carving....

Riva should cover this under warranty right?

Nice! Yep. I bet they'll replace it for ya. 1 year warranty on most of their parts.

I've heard of this before with the GPR Riva sponsons which is the same exact design with the holes in a different place. It can be avoided by adding an extra screw mount in the front by drilling a hole in the blade & drilling & tapping the backing plate.

I dont think its a matter of "carving." I think its a matter of those sponsons suck.
