Magnum pump for 08 GPR with Rvia Kit for top speed?

    Hi,

My 08 1300 GPR have stage 2 riva kit, and my top speed on the ski spedoometer is 72-73, on the GPS it is 66.

i am looking to add the magnum pump to boost the top speed, withut touching the engine.

Have any one test it does it give more speed? or should i go with the M16 reeds for more speed as advertised by riva dn R&D?

my goal to hit 70 on GPS. (about 76 on ski).

    Any suggestions?????? Thanks

i would stick with your stock ho pump for top speed....

if you have not got a cut plate that would be where my money would be going first off

The magnum pump does not increase speed just hookup in rough water etc.. In fact the norm is about 3 to 4 mph loss in top speed.

    Search for rideplate, grate etc..

he is trying to tell you to talk to jim ( jims performance) on here or carl @islandracing

both of these guys are well known for modding stock r&d ride plates to get an extra 3mph+ in top speed, we all run their plates around here.

Also those riva kits are not all they are made out to be for a GPR, there are much smarter ways to spend that ammount of money with much bugger gains in performance.

Also, forget the m16 reeds, get vf3's

Great numbers from jim's plates! +1 Also, forget about the 'DREAMOMETER' stick to your gps. If that were accruate some of us would be going 180MPH plus.

Yea, your speedo numbers on the ski don't mean anything. The only number that counts is the number on your GPS. The speed wheel that tries to measure how fast your going is very innacurate. It also can spin faster when you put on a ride plate. This will make your speedo speed jump like 10-20 mph or more. However, you will only gain a few mph in reality.

2nd thing is that the M16 reeds suck compared to the Vf3's. Go Vf3's.

3rd thing is to remember that the setups on greenhulk are the fastest setups.... the setups done by R&D and Riva are slower.
