    sl1050 not running right?

I have a 1997 sl1050 put in the water today ran good for about 45seconds then feels like its in limp mode where the computer will not let it run over 2500rpms, the gauge does not work so i put my hand on engine to make sure i was not overheating and the engine was cool. what would cause this? I seperated the electric box and everything look as if it was new. I did pull the plugs and they were wet with fuel, also all cylinders have perfect compression. what should i do?
