anyone upgrade/change their bilge pump system on gprs?

I bypassed the siphon lines and punched the tube out of the nozzle. Anyways I was thinking of upgrading the bilge pump considering I ride in 2+ foot chop minimally...

I know it seems to work when you shut the machine off but I don't want to have to kill the boat just to get the bilge to work. I was thinking some sort of toggle switch to manually turn the pump on. Shoot me some ideas/experiences.

    thanks,

    Mike

i know a lot of guys that jump a bunch. they use the older lighter 2 strokes and they all put in bilge pumps on switches. many of their hulls are not real tight. they jump small islands and trees. bust up alot of fiberglass. I even saw where they shot the hull with rhino liner to run the rapids. hulls were like hard boiled eggs when they got done. the pump saved the ride

I would like to see those pictures......

I installed a fully automatic 500 gph rule (i think its a model 25S) that turns on every 2 minutes if it senses water it keeps pumping, if not it shuts off. Do a search on bilge pumps a lot of guys have changed them.

Combining the standup world and gpr world has been interesting a LOT Of common performance gains and tricks to use .. Very neat!

dont forget there are 2 ways to wire up a rule 500 auto bilge pump, one is the auto way so it checks for water every 2 minutes and if there is impeller resistance it kicks in and the other is to have an on off switch.

i prefer the switch myself as it gives you more control and the auto method runs all the time even when they ski is off.....

I run two Rules. One automatic under the driveshaft - one manual under the battery. I have had some trouble getting "good" automatic ones. The manual ones are a lot more reliable - not mention cheaper. But the manual switch isn't cheap!!

auto rule 500 and Versa Plugs for my lake/river speed ski and the stock bailer setup with a manual rule1100 for the surf/jump ski... the only way to fly...

Oh, the auto rule 500's sense for water every 20 sec..
