    1200 Virage front crank seal?

I need some help here, I ran my Virage this weekend and I just installed 2 new pistons and rings. I had pre-mix along with the oil pump running, I was out for 10 mins ( not beating on it at all) and it locked up on me. I tore it apart last night and found the front bearing on the crank went bad and there was no front crank seal. Is there one on that? The cover that bolts on to the front of the block looks like there might have been a seal...but nothing.... I can look right at the bearing on the crank. Polaris did not just rely on the covers to provide an air tight seal, did they. I also found a plastic bushing that goes on the nut of the flywheel and there was no grove in it for the oil pump!? just flat.............any help would be great.

Found the problem, the seal came apart.....exposing the bearing.....the seal gets pressed into the case that holds the starter....

    Thanks guys.

be sure to seal the junction between the stator box and the crankcase/block with sum kinda silcone that make sure you get a extra bit of seal ,

the crank case seal that went bad on your craft is 9 $ normally , your crank rebuild for you 1200 will be around 500-900 $ ,

    happy rebuilding

    welcome to the hulk ,
