    Solas impeller install question

I purchased a resurfaced Solas Concord 12/18 impeller that I am putting on 2000 XLL1200. My question is do I need to put on the billet collar show on the website below.. The prop that I bought did not come with one of these... Is it ok to install without it or do I need to find one to buy>?

    Thanks

a lot of people dont run the nose cone because it rides up the drive shaft so dont worry about it

Or, it welds itself to the impeller and you have to chisel it off.
