bought a sho with aftermarket parts have some questions
i bought a 2008 sho i am new to the yamaha watercraft i was told it has a r&d rideplate intake grate and blow out valve i see on rivas website the rideplate is powdercoated black the one on there is aluminum and the intake grate is black does anyone have pics i can compare to also where would the blow out valve be located? thanks guys

The ride plate you have is probably the r&d which is this one.
The intake grate you have is probably the riva which is this one.
Your blow off valve should be in front of the engine between the supercharger and intercooler.

If it's an aftermarket plate, it is the R&D. Riva's is not available yet...see my signature. Did the seller give you the stock plate?...If not, you might want to inquire with him if he still has it. The R&D will give you better handling & speed in flat water, but the OEM will keep the ski hooked up in rough water much better than the R&D. It only takes 3 min to swap them out depending on the type of riding you will be doing.
