Thread: Engine compartment heat ?

Engine compartment heat ?
How does the heat get out ?
I see the tube in the back that goes to the tray with the holes.
Seems the holes are covered by the seats.
I'm planning on hooking my SC intake to the front seat intake.
So I think I'm going to have an issue with compartment heat.
Would drilling holes in the back under the grab bar and covering with outerwear water pre-filter work ? Then maybe tubing it and adding a fan.

Engine compartment heat isnt much of an issue anymore if you can get your air intake out of the engine compartment.

I'm going to attach my air intake tube (without the filter) to the front seat air intake along with a pre-filter to keep the water out.
Doing this removes any incoming air to the engine compartment I would think.
I'm now worried I'll build up heat in the compartment or gas fumes.
Exit air sucks being it looks like it just gets trapped between the seat.
So I'm thinking I'll drill for some intakes to get air out or in.....

TJ, you can never have too much ventilation.
