    Temporary Engine Stall

I am a rookie with engine maintenance but looking to do more of my own work on my 2005 GTI.

I have a problem with my GTI where the engine stalls very breifly whenever I hit a wave at speed resulting in impact.
Can someone give me an idea as to what I should be looking at?
    Gas line?

I would not think fuel in this case unless it is an RFI (and I assume it is not based on your post).

Check the electrical connections. The main suspect would be the Mag plug (this is on the top of the front housing). Also check that the main ground and the ground plate for the spark plugs is tight (I have seen this on an '02 GTI where it would not start sometimes because the ground for the mag was lost).

    Do not forget the battery.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did notice the battery connection was a bit loose, but I didn't get a chance to run it yet. Sure would be nice if this just came down to tightening a connection.
