    R&D Rideplate Install Instuctions?

I just got my non modded R&D Rideplat today, I plan on putting it on not modded for a few weeks. How do I install this thing? It didn't come with any instructions. It should be a simple swap but I saw on RD's website where I have to trim some off the nozzle. Also it came with this little plate thing with four screws and two clear washers, what is that for?

    Anyone?

you take out the 4 bolts that are in the stock ride plate.
dont forget to unscrew the speed sensors four screws as well
the ride plate will come off at this point.
the small plate is for you to replace the stock water strainer backing so that the R&D plate will fit.
    Grab your 4 bolts
    hold the plate in place.
    Screw your 4 bolts in.
put your speed sensor back in the same place with the same screws.

now you have just changed a ride plate. You will only have to worry abouot clearance issues against the pump once you have the plate modified (or angled).

I really hope that this helps.

Just to clarify...this piece goes on the pump-left side. Dont forget to transfer the "O" ring.

When installing the ride plate...start all bolts, then push the plate forward and hold it while tightening the front first, then the back bolts. I think the torque is 13 ft.lbs. I recommend anti-seize or loctite 572/592 on the bolts.

The clear washers are shims to adjust your handling if needed.

your sig says you have an 04,

BE VERY CAREFUL, taking out the ride plate bolts and tightning the new ones, if you hear a cracking noise, thats the bondo crap yamaha used to secure your "rideplate bolt inserts" the cracking means there about to start spinning...
