    Father's new toy...2010 Camaro SS

Got it delievered yesterday, this unit is #50 built back in 2008, its got 3800 miles on it, inside is beat up. Some stuff inside is not on the production car. This car can not be sold to the public, and will be scrapped within the next 6-8 months...

GM is having some issues with low frequency vibration when the Active Fuel Management (AFM) kicks in. Typically in 6th gear (6sp-auto) and the speed drops to 40-45mph, and it goes from V8 to V4 mode (to save gas), if you slowly roll the throttle the vibration shakes the dash, pedals, etc...

Problem is that the entire exhaust systemis BARELY attached. The front of the pipes hang off the manifold, then go to pair of hangers right in front of the rear axle. You can move it up/down 2ish inches in the center ...

Driving it around, when you come to any speed, coat, then slowly roll into the throttle, the vibration hits if its in V4 mode...

I did like putting the trans into manual mode, had shifter paddles...But AFM will not work in manual mode.

OH, do those flex's look familar?

Here is some pics and video...

He actually had to put it in the garage because people were rubbernecking at the stop sign in front of the house

I am confused, you can go and buy a production SS right now. Why and how did he get a non production? I would have thought they would have already fixed all the problems since it is in full production now.

    Oh Black rules!!
