    08 stx-15f compared to 2002 stx-r

How do they compare to each other. I know different ski's but pretty much the same hull design aren't they? Handling? Power? They are such a great price right now and the wife has decided she wants her own ski.

    Stick with a 4 stroke..............

As far a Rec riding you (she) will like the 15f much better..........

I asked the question because as you know i have a 250x and am looking at buying a new 08 stx-15f.......for her. They are going for 5999.00 We had two 2002 stx-r's and she really liked the way they rode.....handling and stable ride espescially the stability while idling around. She has a fear of water......i know kinda silly but she wont go in the water but really likes ski's. She is fearful of the 250x because it does feel real nervous (tippy) at idle. I keep telling her the 15f is the same handling and feel as our stx-r's. I cant wait till she gets over her phobea......she keeps telling me she is getting in this summer. We have a pontoon boat as well. We as a family love the lake. She just wont go in.

STXR is a great ski but for here it will ride a little smoother because of the weight and be plenty stable.

It's not as quick off the very bottom but mid and top are about dead even. Milage is a ++ though with the 4 stroke of course. I stayed away because I wanted to race still and was affraid of motor problems. As you know 2 smokes are cheap to rebuild compared to the 4's but they are doing very well for owners and prove to handle up to most peoples punishement just basic maintance and ride.

    Go 15F for $5999.00 <<<< DEAL

250 has more of a V hull verses the stxr/15F is flatter ....which gives it such good hookup..

The V allows more rocking back and forth.
