RXP dip stick
Hi everyone im new here and had my new 2007 Seadoo RXP out yesterday and had a quick question for everyone.
I had my RXP out today and i noticed a loud noise coming from the engine department. I looked inside and noticed that the plastic engine cover came off and pulled my dipstick out which resulted in a pretty big mess. Did anyone else ever have this problem. I now learned that it takes a pretty good wack on the cover to keep it in place.
Now thats thinking with your dipstick jimmy. (sorry i had to)

I had this same thing happen to me during this years Mark Hahn 300 race at Lake Havasu. The flanges on both ends of the plastic fuel rail cover had broken off and the bouncing cover pulled the dipstick out of its hole. Now I use a tie wrap at each end where the flanges used to be and wrap it around the metal slots that the flages used to go in. In order to do this I drilled a hole in each end of the plastic cover. Kind of a PITA to every time I remove the cover but it ensures that the dipstick won't be pulled out of its hole. Hope this helps.
