    high speed jet needed

Just purchased a 2003 virage and well rebuilding the carb I noticed the high speed needle was missing from the side of the carb. Does anyone know where I could find one? I also need whatever holds the battery in place. All i have there now is two holes?

Is there actually a hole all the way to the inside of the carb?
Most Keihin carbs don't have high speed mixture screws,I don't know why the service manual mentions it having one.
I took a look online and the parts diagram doesn't show a high screw.
You could look up parts here; www.babbittsonline.com

It shouldn't have one unless someone has modified the carb.

    pic of the carb...

I'm not 100 sure if I'm describing this correct but as you see if the picture, there are two holes. One labeled "L" and the other "H". I just assumed this was the high and low speed jets? Please let me know what you think?

Yes you explained it right...but high speed screws are not used in the Keihin carbs you have.

    Last question...

Is there a cover that should be placed over the screw hold or is it just an open cavity that doesn't lead to anything..

It's just a open cavity...unless like I said, if someone modified the carbs then this cavity has been drilled out and a high speed screw was put in...but it's unlikely this has been done. If you are concerned about it then I would take the carbs off so you can get a real good look into the cavity or take the carb cover off to see if it's been modified.
