    Heat warning

I keep getting a heat warning. `05 RXP. I`m now running the stock intercooler. Engine temp at 86 when this occurred. Was at start up then idle. Motor wasnt hot to touch nor was exhaust. Is the sensor in the exhaust bad.

Hoss, all the times I have gotten the heat warning it was always the sensor in the waterbox that was triggering the warning. In my case, it was always due to not enough water there ... so for me it was not a bad sensor, it was always due to some blockage somewhere that had reduced waterflow to the waterbox. I have two sensors and even switched them, same issue, until I found why my water was reduced ... luckily for me it was a plugged Riva IC and since I replaced that I have had no issues.

If you are getting at idle that is a bit weird tho ... you may want to take that sensor out, clean it, and then add di-electric grease to the connector ... it really should not trigger at idle ever ... might be a bad sensor or connection, melted wire ...

Thanks,,,,I`m thinking that as well. I have plenty of water going through the system. It was doing it only at wot. I have even deleted the line at the end of the exhaust system. So its getting water.

Engine temp was 86? That's not good. Unless you're confusing E temp on the dash for the outside air temperature.
