Going to look at a 1100 zxi with flat spot on starter
Well im going to look at a 1100 zxi today. The guy said there is a flat spot on the starter, Do you think this is B.S.? Or is this common? Any help would be great. Im leaving here in a few hours to go check it out.

Probably not starter, likely bendix.Either is about $100.the engine will probably need to come out to replace bendix. You must remove front cover to access it.

Yes, the spring gives out on the bendix, you can leave the motor in and pull the cover and flywheel to replace them.
