    Polaris SLT 750 1995 - no spark

It was running great, and then it stopped. There is no spark while cranking. I checked batter voltage and it has 12.87V and 11.8 while cranking. Black/yellow wire from kill switch has been removed, but still no spark. I checked circuit breaker – is ok – it has +12V on red/purple wire. Wires coming from CDI are: red/white, black/yellow, blue/red, white/yellow, green/red, black. I wanted to do a Hall Effect Sensor test but Polaris manual is talking about brown wire – there is no such color - any suggestions?

The Fuji engines do not have a Hall Effect sensor. The Fuji magneto just has coils.

Have you check the ohms for each stator coil?

Correct, check the elec stator by ohm testing from the elec box.

Other possibility is the woodruff key sheared if the stator tests well.

Hello K447, I am having spark problems. I have replaced the stator, coil, and cdi with a new upgraded kit. I have a new battery i have 12.80 volts on the red and blue wire and coming in on the battery terminals . I have checked the grounds with an volt ohm meter. Can you offer any help? Thanks Robert D.

This needs to be in a separate thread, not mixed in with a Fuji engine discussion.

Please start a New thread in the Polaris General Discussion forum.

Tell us what year and model you have, and what the problem symptoms are.

Also list any other info that you think might be helpful.

I am not sure what blue wire you are referring to.

Ok, I checked startor coils resistance:
    Red/Purple to Yellow - .6 ohms
    White/Yellow to Black - 209 ohms
    Blue/Red to Red/White - 84.4 ohms
    Red/White to Green/Red - none

so it looks like I need a new startor. Please confirm if otherwise.

    Thanks,

Double check your readings. If that's the case, yes you need a new stator.

You can use a stator from a 94 and newer 750 or from any 780 also.

Another option is to have yours rebuilt by someone like jetskisloutions.com

Thanks for your advice. I sent stator to jetskisloutions.com – they did a really nice job! Got my stator back in about a week or so, I put it back in and that was it – everything is working fine now. Once again, thanks everyone for your help – this is a best forum ever.

    Glad it worked out.

I hear they actually beef the stators up too. Better than stock.

What was the cost if you don't mind me asking????

They replaced the entire wiring harness along with rewinding the two exciter coils for 170. It looks better than new.
