    Frozen trim help

I can't get the trim on my 07 GPR to work. It must have got corroded from riding in salt and not using it for the past year. I took it apart and cleaned it the best I could but still wont budge. Any tips or do I have to buy new assembly?
I can't even find it in online store
    Thanks in advance

I just went through this. The trim cables were soooooooooooo bad,i had to replace them.I tried soaking them for a day and they did not budge! You could bend the cables by hand and hear the rust cracking inside.

I took mine out and hung them upside down, dripping oil down the lines over the course of a weekend. It helped a lot, but they're still not great.

Go to your local shop that sells dirt bike stuff. They make a cable lubing device that clamps on the end of the cable. It has a hole to insert the spray straw from an aerosol can. Spray a little penetrating oil in it and see what happens. I have never used one on a ski, but used to use one all the time on my clutch cable on my bike.

Chris those little "balls" ( I'm trying not to laugh) are rusted pretty badly. I sprayed that assembly the night before w/ some cleaner and anti seize. Then put some white lithium grease to try to get that trim assembly to move. I think your cables are fine since TJ was able to move them from what I remember. I would just go on 4 tech an order 2 new springs and those balls and try it again. When i took mine apart i just cleaned it out real good and it works great but i didn't have that bad of rust like you did.

Mine was never adjusted from the dealer --another mishap from Jet Thrust in Atlanta. My trim didn't work, so I found the problem and adjusted the nuts on the end of the cable as they were not even threaded on the cable.
